I was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island, New York. I knew I had a passion for helping people my entire life, but intially was unsure of how this to pursue this fervor. My father recommended that I look into becoming a Registered Nurse. Four years and a Bachelor’s degree later, and I had become a Registered Nurse, beginning my career in the ER.

Shortly into my career, I learned that “healthcare” would better be termed “Managed Illness.” I never saw any cures being administered, just billable services being rendered in the form of a pill, diagnostic exam or some other intrusive intervention. I got a much more clear vision of the poor state of “healthcare” when I pivoted to working outpatient at a private practice in Manhattan, as an administrator. There, I learned how many healthcare decisions were made by entities completely uninvolved with the care of the patient, often determined by lawyers and persons without a medical background.

2013 marked the turning point. I realized I had become entirely disenchanted with the western model of “wellness,” and needed a new way to practice the healing arts that resonated in my bones. I took the leap of faith, trusting in Me (and God, of course), and left my last Nursing role to start my own practice. That was over a decade ago, and I haven’t looked back!

Since parting from nursing, I have grown as a healer, adding new and exciting skills to my repertoire every few years. By following a path of my choosing and largely of my own creation, I have consistently stumbled into the next “right” thing, for me, and find that I only continue to grow and unfold in perfect order and timing.
